All of us have impulses.  It’s not always a bad thing to act on our initial instinct – sometimes our impulses protect us, and even give us insight into great decision making. However, impulses run amuck can lead to poor judgement and knee-jerk reactions that we later regret.  The decision to react can lead to painful and lasting consequences.
