Can You Believe It?

It’s Vida Aventura’s Ninth Anniversary and I’m pinching myself today as I do many days. Is it a dream? Have I really spent nine years coaching amazing people, developing leaders and increasing engagement within organizations?

In some ways it seems like yesterday when I decided to make a difference through coaching and leadership development on a full-time basis. Along the way I’ve broadened my services and developed new skills that have allowed me to help others in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

Over the years, I’ve expanded my team building activities and included more corporate social responsibility events that leave groups feeling invigorated, enthusiastic and more cohesive. These same events leave communities feeling enriched and united.

I’ve witnessed conflicted corporate teams come together and build rapport while playing like children and laughing along the way. I’ve watched clients learn to surf in far away places, conquer challenges on ropes courses right here in my neighborhood.  I’ve observed resistant individuals struggle with personal growth and overcome difficult obstacles, only to transform into powerful team players and colleagues.  Through all types of different experiences they find the kind of inner strength that brings tears of joy, pride and confidence.

In some ways, these past nine years have gone by so fast. In other ways, it has been a slow juicy journey that I’ve been able to savor day-by-day.  What am I most thankful for?  That I’ve had you – my wonderful clients, friends and colleagues – by my side every step of the way.

Thank you for your support, I know I couldn’t have done it without you.

So when I see you next and you say to me, “Happy anniversary! It’s been nine years … can you believe it?”  I’ll nod, smile, and reply with heartfelt appreciation, “Yes, yes I can!”
